Why is Vector Art Required for Screen Printing?
Thursday, May 26, 2011
Vector artwork is the purest form of art for screen printing. It produces a consistently sharp edge that, in turn will produce a correct reproduction of the original artwork. Additionally, with vector format, there's no need to worry about resolution issues such as, loss of detail when you enlarge the art. For example, if you submitted artwork as a JPG or Photoshop image, any enlargement would deteriorate the artwork to be unusable. Requirements for a good reproduction is to use a vector image with all text converted to outlines. If a vector format is not available, we will need to redraw the art.
